Feb. 13, 2019. Manila Philippines – Internationally acclaimed Australian band, Planetshakers, will be back to lead worship on August 8, the first night of Jesus Global Youth Day (JGYD) 2019, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila.

JGYD 2019 is the first-ever simultaneous youth gathering aimed at providing youth from all around the globe a life-changing opportunity to hear and discover together God’s heart and calling for them. Planetshakers is only one of the many Christian artists performing. Among the many other expected guests are Lecrae, Austin Adamec, and Miel San Marcos.

The event is packed with different conferences, plenary talks, and trainings by world renowned speakers on various topics like leadership, evangelism and missions, worship, discipleship, and campus ministry. Nightly worship concerts by celebrated Christian bands and artists are also lined up.

Some of the speakers include Nick Vujicic, evangelist and founder of the Life Without Limbs organization, and Nick Hall, the visionary of Together, author of the book Reset, and founder and chief communicator for PULSE.

With over 30 internationally acclaimed albums, Planetshakers tours annually to the US, UK, Europe, South Africa, Asia, South America, Australia and New Zealand.  The band also has seen a lot of success, having been nominated for multiple Dove Awards. Planetshakers has been to the Philippines several times, with all its concerts sold out.

Formed in Adelaide for the first Planetshakers Conference in 1997, its passion is to see generations worldwide unite together to worship God. With music, the group wants to see people encounter God, be transformed by His presence, and be empowered to make a difference.

Its March 2014-released album, Endless Praise: Live, reached No. 3 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart and No. 16 on the Billboard Christian Albums chart.  Its albums and songs were also nominated several times at the Dove Awards.
