Come August 8 to 10, 2019, the Philippines will host the first-ever Jesus Global Youth Day. Thousands of young Christians from all over the world are expected to pack the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila. Renowned youth leaders, missionaries, artists, and pastors from different countries will speak to inspire young men and women to love Christ, live committed lives, and lead change in their generation at this three-day learning and worship experience.
The first day opens with a great line-up of speakers and entertainers to listen and learn from, one of these is Nick Hall, founder of PULSE.
Nick Hall has shared the Gospel at hundreds of events to nearly four million students and is regularly featured as a speaker for pastors’ gatherings, student conferences, training events, and festivals around the world.
Nick was a small town kid from North Dakota back in 2001, when he was inspired by the ministry of Billy Graham.
“When I was a student in North Dakota, I heard evangelist Billy Graham was going to be in Oklahoma City for a big crusade event. So I hopped in my car and drove down to volunteer with the staff of the event. One day, I was in the arena watching it all unfold, seeing thousands of people pointed to the hope of Jesus. And so I prayed a bold prayer: ‘God, use me to reach people like this.’
He even wrote on his notebook: “My life exists to put Christ at the pulse of a new generation.”
Eight years later, Nick stood on that very same stage, sharing the Gospel with a packed arena. Nick never looked back.
In his junior year of college, Nick wrote a paper on how to reach his generation with the Gospel. The paper went viral and a movement exploded on the campus of North Dakota State University. This led to him speaking before thousands of his peers where many accepted Jesus. Soon after, Nick founded PULSE.
PULSE mission is to awaken culture to the reality of Christ according to their website. It is not a student ministry but more like a student-led movement. PULSE helps Christian students and local church leaders launch an evangelistic outreach in their city or campus. Pulse unites and mobilizes Christians of different denominations or organizations. Instead of working in silos or separating over secondary issues, local churches, ministries and campus groups become united to live out the message of Jesus together. Over 525,000 young adults have made a commitment to follow Christ from PULSE events.
“As a musician out here playing, you just love to be able to walk out and play your songs and know that someone is going to responsibly handle the presentation of the Gospel and deliver it with passion. Nick does that. It’s so clear, it’s so clean. I’ve brought a lot of my friends out to hear him and they’ve all said the same thing: ‘That guy delivers the Gospel and it has punch.’,” said Toby Mac, Christian artist, Dove winner, and former DC Talk member.
Aside from founding PULSE, Nick Hall is the visionary of Together, author of the book Reset As an evangelistic voice to the next generation. He is also the President and CEO of the Mission America Coalition, sits on the board of the National Association of Evangelicals, and is part of the student advisory team for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA). He has been featured on major media outlets including the Huffington Post, USA Today, Fox News, US News & World Report, Washington Post, Christianity Today, Moody Radio, Christian Broadcasting Network, Trinity Broadcast Network, and The Christian Post.
Nick is married to his best friend, Tiffany, and they are proud parents of Truett and Ruby. They live in Minneapolis, MN. Nick has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from NDSU and a Master’s in Leadership and Christian Thought from Bethel Seminary in St. Paul, MN.
